BLUEVALE CO-OP  MILITIA CO-OP (sem 1)– receive basic training in the Canadian Armed Forces while earning 3 credits and getting paid! * attend info session at WRDSB Ed Centre* * See Mr. Kemperman with questions * Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program  OYAP – for those interested in starting an apprenticeship in any number of skilled trades (including EA, cook, truck and coach, auto technician, tool maker/general machinist).  Visit to find out more about the wide variety of OYAP and Dual Credit possibilities and how to apply to the program on-line. See your counsellor to apply! OYAP Questions? See your counsellor or Mr. Kemperman SOME SPECIALTY CO-OP OPPORTUNITIES EXIST AS WELL…

BLUEVALE CO-OP 1. Select ‘Other’ and then ‘GUICOP’ on the SOCR website at course selection time. See Mr. Kemperman or your counsellor if you have questions. 2. Wait for your invitation to an information session in the early spring (usually first week of March) where you’ll be given your Co-op application package and more information. 3. Complete the package which consists of… An application form Two teacher reference forms Completing an updated resume Then return it all to Mr. Kemperman in the Co-op Office (room 2114) 4. Wait for an interview notice. At the interview, you’ll meet with a Co-op teacher where you’ll discuss your job interests, school progress, commitment and attendance. NO APPLICATION? NO ACCEPTANCE! CO-OP SOUNDS PRETTY COOL… SO HOW DO I GET IN??

BLUEVALE CO-OP  Log onto and select ‘Thinking of applying to Co-op?’  Talk to a Co-op teacher… o Mr. Kemperman is the Co-op Co-ordinator (OFFICE is 2114) o Mr. Stemmler or Mr. Pattison for Technological Studies-related questions  Talk to your Career Studies teacher  Talk to your Counsellor  Talk to a current or past Co-op student  Attend the Co-op and OYAP Career Fair that takes place in January and in June I’M STILL NOT SURE. HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE?
