COOP for Success Partners with: Goodwill Industries of Greater Nebraska Grand Island Senior High Region 3 Behavioral Services Vocational Rehabilitation Services
COOP Purpose The purpose is to assist in transition of at- risk students with mental health/behavioral issues into competitive employment. The advantage for the student is to gain work experience while still in high school. Students and families will be involved in the team process, which requires family/parent participation
COOP Activities Meet monthly to discuss progress, successes and barriers Discuss referrals and potential referral sources Determine Eligibility Discuss discharge of consumers Capacity report
Mental Health requirement Diagnosed or suspected depression ADHD OCD Bipolar ODD May also be something more subtle such as student is withdrawn, has problems with peers or is taking medication.
