GREAT BRITAIN

Map of Great Britain People and population Great Britain is the third largest country in European Union. It has inhabitants. Language and flag The language of this country is English, one of the most speaking languages in the world. This language is also spoken in other countries like Australia, United States, New Zealand and one part of Canada. The flag’s colours are white, blue and red.

Capital city The capital city of Great Britain is London. London has inhabitants. It’s one of the most important cities in the world. It’s a very big city and it has a lot of monuments like: The Parliament, the Tower Bridge, the London Tower, Buckingham Palace and so on. From the London Eye you can see many of these monuments. The rivers The most important river is Thames and it goes along London. It goes under the Tower Bridge. Other important rivers are Severn and Humber. The Severn goes along Wales and the Humber goes along Northern England. The river Thames

The cities In Great Britain there are a lot of cities. The most important cities are London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Leeds. Here you have a map and you can see the cities of Great Britain.

Mountains The most important mountains in Great Britain are Tees-Exe line, Pennines and the highest mountain is Ben Nevis that is situated in Scotland. Famous people There are a lot of great writers who were born in Great Britain like Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Lord Byron, Agatha Christie or J.K. Rowling. Two important scientists, Isaac Newton and Alexander Fleming were born in Great Britain.
