Time Management is about time choices

Time Management Truths We all have the same amount of time Time can have a future value Some activities produce better results than others

The 80/20 Rule Is Applicable To Time Management

Baseline Strategy

CHANGE BEGINS IN LANGUAGE. SPEAK AS IF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THE TRUTH. INSTEAD OF SAYING “I AM NOT GOOD AT TIME MANAGEMENT” SAY… “EACH DAY I AM GETTING BETTER AND BETTER AT TIME MANAGEMENT.”

5. WHEN IT COMES TO TIME MANAGEMENT… DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP!

Value of an hour 2000 hours in a year $100,000 = $50 an hour

Time Management System Create a list of questions to plan an optimum day. Spend 14 minutes planning. Apply the 80/20 rule to your action items.

Pre-Planning Questions What level am I committed to playing at during planning? How long will I spend planning? Questions For Today What level am I committed to playing at today? How will I reach for success today? What are carryover activities from yesterday? What must I accomplish today? Who do I need to follow up with? What new prospects will I call? How will I improve my health today? What will I do spiritually today? In what ways will I lead my team today? What is one thing I will do for Jarris today? What will I do with Brandon and Sarah today? What are my 2 most valuable outcomes to accomplish today? How can I make $10,000 today?

Post-Planning Questions Can I chunk any of my activities? Can I delegate any of my activities? Look at my list and ask myself do I really need to do this? Apply the 80/20 rule. What 2 activities will provide the most value? Are their any activities I need blocked time for?

Questions Principle Part of the purpose of your subconscious mind is to answer whatever question you ask yourself.

How can I leverage technology? What is the best use of my time today?

Infinite Time 1 Hour < 1 Hour Result 1 Hour = 1 Hour Result 1 Hour > 1 Hour Result Infinite Time = measure results in terms of results per hour
