 Her first performance was at age 14 in a New York nightclub

 She was granted early admission to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts at the age of 17—one of only 20 students in the world to receive the honor of early acceptance.

 She withdrew from the school to pursue creative inspiration.

 To make ends meet she was a gogo dancer. Then in 2007 she worked for Interscope Records and wrote songs for other artists. Inbetween 2007 and 2008 she finally got her own record deal and madce her debut album Fame.
