Japan tsunami and earthquake

What happened? There was a tsunami with 10 m waves people were killed. Part of the nuclear power station blew up. There was a terrible earthquake. Buildings and roads devastated and destroyed. It started to snow after the tsunami.

How did it happen? There was an earthquake under the ocean which sent out tidal waves. It then caused a tsunami.

What were the effects? Houses are destroyed so it will take money to rebuild. It will take time to rebuild. People have nowhere to live.

Where? When? It started just off the coast of Japan and made its way through towns and cities. March 11 th :45 the earthquake started.
