In Dundee

Schools in Dundee work in partnership with Abertay University

Pupils are allocated a University tutor if project area is relevant Pupils are registered with University and have access to library facilities Pupils are also able to use lab facilities

Teachers and tutors jointly oversee and assess projects Pupils have contact time in school with teachers and meet up with tutors as required

As evidence is generated by the pupil comments are added by both assessors – these are ed between the assessors. Grading and final comments are agreed between both assessors usually during a grading meeting

Twilight meetings allow teachers and tutors to discuss any areas of concern and help ensure a consistency of approach

Quality assurance takes place at several points. between teacher and tutor during an audit of viability of projects at an internal quality forum event
