The Outsiders Vocabulary: Locate the vocabulary word, copy the sentence that it is used in from the novel. Then, guess the meaning of the word.

Chapter 1 1.Sensitive (7)- highly aware and affected by things outside of one’s self 2.Rival (11)- the person with whom you are competing; competitor 3.Sarcasm (17)- harsh or bitter words that are meant to hurt or make fun of another person
