GENIUS. WP600 Support Activities Participants: University of Barcelona: 6PM CESCA (Center for Scientific and Academic Services of Catalonia): 24PM University of Cambridge: 12PM Objective: Support activities needed for the development of the tasks in the rest of WPs Three subpackages: 610. Technical coordination: collaboration with the Genius Exec Board (1 UB) 620. Simulated catalogue data (12 CESCA + 5 UB) 630. Science alerts testbed (12 UCAM) 640. Community portal infrastructure (12 CESCA)

620. Simulated catalogue data (more details by F. Julbe) Provision of simulated catalogues to fill the database with realistic data allowing testing and development of the archive prototype and tools Simulations will be generated by the Gaia Object Generator (GOG) (developed by DPAC’s CU2) GOG will be run at HPC facilities at CESCA who also provides technical support Three deliveries of the full simulated catalogue are expected + some specific smaller tests may also be provided, on request

630. Science alerts testbed (lead by N. Walton) Gaia science alerts processing carried at Cambridge (DPCI). Alerts have to reach the community as soon as possible. The WP will be in charge of developping the interfaces required to connect the science alert processing (including classification etc) with the main Gaia processing. The information for a region (or alert) will grow as the mission progresses. The end product will be enhanced access to science alert data Community portal infrastructure (more info by E. Masana) The portal will include all the useful information about the project: Documents, links, alerts, tutorials, etc. The basic infrastructure will be delivered and maintenance plan prepared. The portal has to provide updated information and links to social networks.

Main Deliverables: -Community portal (6, 24, 42 months) -Simulated data catalogues (6, 18, 30 months) -Science alert prototypes (12, 24, 36 months)
