Essential Questions Why were colonial powers so powerful? Which regions of the world were most sought after by the Europeans? How did imperialism impact the continents outside of Europe? What was the response to colonization within the colonized country?

Goals and Objectives Gather and interpret information about late 19th and early 20th century imperialism across the world. Identify major areas of imperialist activity across the globe. Evaluate the effects of colonialism on Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe.
