General Requirements Processor Intel / AMD only Pentium-class PC: a minimum clock speed of 1.5 GHz is recommended Operating System WINDOWS 2000 (SP 4) or WINDOWS XP (SP 1) Graphics Options 3D card OpenGL hardware graphic accelerator (highly recommended). Systems without an OpenGL graphic board will perform significantly slower. Internal Memory A minimum of 1 GB is recommended for comfortable CATIA handling Use of memory, Configuration The user configuration does not always allow the user to use hardware capabilities of the computer. It is necessary to use the maximum value possible for datasize and stacksize for the solver and the user interface. So we recommend you to set datasize and stacksize limits to “unlimited” in the end-user configuration.

25 Copyright © ESI Group, All rights reserved. External Memory (Hard disk) It is recommended to have at least 50 MB available for the installation of the software on Intel / AMD platforms and 50 MB for UNIX platforms. For storage of the various projects, a minimum of 1 GB is recommended. Obviously, this is depending on the project size. Monitor Super VGA monitor with the following settings: Screen resolution set to at least 1280 × 1024 Small fonts selected Mouse 3 button mouse (for Intel / AMD systems a 3 button wheel-mouse is recommended, as this version supports dynamic zoom via the wheel) General Requirements
