Presentation transcript:

 The 7 continent connected like a puzzle

 This Theory reveals that the continents were connected like a puzzle, Pangaea, and they slowly drifted apart due to plate tectonic movement

 The continents started to slowly drift apart to what we see today.

 During World War II they developed SONAR to look for Submarines and it proved Plate Tectonic and Continental Drift Theory

 The Earth is not one solid piece but it is made up of slow moving labs of rock that ride over the pliable layer of the Earth.

 Plate movement could cause an Earthquake

 Plate movement can cause mountains to form

 Plate movement can cause waves to form

 Plate movement can cause volcanoes to errupt

 When 2 plate converge or smack together

 Continental plate is overrides an Oceanic Plate

 The pushing up and out of Plate Tectonic

 2 Plates Sliding back and forth against one another

 The Breaking Up and Breaking Down of Rock on the Earth’s surface into smaller and smaller pieces

 The Movement of Weathered material by water, wind, or ice.
