Man vs. Nature This occurs when a person is in conflict with something in the natural world around them. For example, a person hiding in roadside tornado shelter from an impending tornado would be a man vs. nature conflict.

Man vs. Society This type of conflict occurs when a person is in conflict with a large group of people or their beliefs. For example, someone who is an extremist in their views may be considered to have a man vs. society conflict.
