Types of Conflict: Non-Print Media
There are five major types of conflict: Man vs. Man Man vs. Self Man vs. Nature Man vs. Society Man vs. Technology
Man vs. Man This occurs when a person is in conflict with another person. For example, a man vs. man conflict could be an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend.
Man vs. Self This occurs when someone is struggling with an internal problem: emotions, addiction, etc. For example, a man vs. self conflict could be a person trying to recover from an addiction to alcohol or substance abuse.
Man vs. Nature This occurs when a person is in conflict with something in the natural world around them. For example, a person hiding in roadside tornado shelter from an impending tornado would be a man vs. nature conflict.
Man vs. Society This type of conflict occurs when a person is in conflict with a large group of people or their beliefs. For example, someone who is an extremist in their views may be considered to have a man vs. society conflict.

Man vs. Technology This type of conflict occurs when a person runs into a conflict with some type of technological problem. An example of a Man vs. Technology conflict is: a student loses his report for school because his computer crashes due to not having enough memory.
