Brahman

the ultimate and impersonal divine reality of the universe, from which all being originates and to which it returns

Atman

The individual soul or essence. The essence that is eternal, unchanging, and indistinguishable from the essence of the universe.

Moksha

freedom from the differentiated, temporal, and mortal world of ordinary experience. Freedom from want When a person’s atman becomes one with Brahman

Karma

the cosmic principle according to which each person is rewarded or punished in one incarnation according to that person's deeds in the previous incarnation.

Dharma

a. The principle or law that orders the universe. b. Individual conduct in conformity with this principle. c. The essential function or nature of a thing.

Caste System a social structure in which classes are determined by heredity
