Question #1 What are some of the things we see Gwen and her boyfriend Jasper doing the night before and the day of her sister’s wedding which would make us believe she has a problem with alcohol?
Question #2 What did Gwen do to wind up in rehab? In your opinion, was her punishment severe enough? Explain.
Question 2A. “If you get caught drinking and driving one time, you should lose your license for life” If a law like this were passed, it would cut down on the number of drunk drivers and be a good thing. Do you agree or disagree? Why?
Question #3 The people in this rehab facility are not allowed to have caffeine because it is mood altering, yet they are allowed to smoke cigarettes. Does that seem hypocritical to get them off one drug, while allowing them to stay addicted to another?
Question #4 We have seen three different types of treatment so far: Education (Showing what happens to your liver) Stories Chanting Which of these do you believe would have the most impact on an alcoholic? Why?
Question #5 There is an emphasis on God and belief in God to get people through treatment at this facility. What if someone goes into treatment and does not believe in God? Do you think that would make it harder for them to recover, or would they just ignore that part of the treatment?
Question #6 Should Gwen have been allowed to stay in the treatment facility after breaking the rules? Why or why not?
Question #7 What are 3 things you believe would be the most serious for a problem drinker?
