We are a non-profit charitable organization that nurtures regional food economies by: Certifying farmers and processors for local sustainable food production Linking farmers and processors with local purchasers, especially institutional purchasers Building supply chain links Doing public outreach and education Working with local organizations to introduce the model to other regions of Canada What is Local Food Plus?

A sustainable food system means that the resources of the future are not diminished by our actions today. A sustainable food system is: Primarily local Financially viable for all stakeholders Ecologically sound Socially responsible Respectful of other species What is a sustainable food system?
