Definitions – What Is “Fall Recruiting?” –Off-Campus Programs (MCGC Consortium) Washington DC (July 29) New York (July 31) San Francisco Walk-around (August 7) Chicago Walk-around (August 10) –On-Campus Program Screening Interviews in Law School Library (begin August 17) Resume Collects –Job Fairs Diversity & Substantive Interests –Direct Sends

What Employers & Career Paths? –Law Firms - of all sizes Other small firms are on different timelines - later programming for that –Business/Accounting/Tax –Federal Government –State and Local Government –Non-Profit Agencies

What Does This Mean For Me? –This is when these employers hire (A few look at 3Ls for post-grad hiring as well) –Rumor Debunked – not just for top 10% of class –Hiring is growing in Minneapolis and nationwide: U of MN Law 2014 – 148 employers 2013 – 127 employers
