 Technology has never stop changing since the beginning of human life.  Technology affects people’s lives everyday.  Technology can help lives, homes, communities, and countries.  However, technology can ruin peoples lives, homes, communities, and countries.  When technology is used for good can change society for the better, but if used for bad it can destroy society.  If more people were aware of the history of technology, societies around the world could be developed for the better of human kind.

 In a group of 4, work with your team to research a type of technology that has been innovated over time.  Each person in your group will become an expert on one of the questions provided to the group about a type of technology.  You will each visit the websites for your type of technology, answer the question assigned to you, make a PowerPoint slide for your answer, and teach your group what you learned.  As a group make a PowerPoint presentation that you will present to the class teaching them everything about your type of technology that has been innovated over time.

 With your group watch this video: 4VmWk5tw&feature=player_detailpage 4VmWk5tw&feature=player_detailpage  Decide who is going to answer which question.  Meet with your group daily, asking how each person is doing, discussing any questions that anyone may have.  Begin your research!

 Who was the first computers designed by? What were these computers called?  Explain electronic computers.  Why were microchips developed?  Explain the development of laptops.

 What is an internal combustion engine?  What is a two-stroke engine?  What is a four-stroke?  What did you find interesting about engines?

 You need to read over the criterion, on the next slide, of what you will be graded on and make sure you meet the requirements for the highest level of achievement (5).  If you work hard, put time, and put effort into this project you will succeed. Remember you are also responsible for teaching the class about your question and type of question. Make sure you become an expert!

The student makes a PowerPoint slide. The student stands in front of the class during the group presentation. 3-4 The student answers the question assigned to them. The student makes a detailed PowerPoint slide. The student speaks minimally about their PowerPoint slide during the group presentation. 5 The student answers the question in detail and complete sentences assigned to them. The student makes a detailed and creative PowerPoint slide. The student fully teaches the class about their PowerPoint slide during the group presentation.

 Congratulations History of Technology experts you have now completed your WebQuest!  After completing your research and learning from your classmates, you should be familiar with FIVE types of technology that have been innovated over the course of history.  Which type of technology were you most interested in? Which type of technology do you think has been change the most over the course of history? Why do you think this type of technology has changed so much compared to the others? Discuss these questions with your group, we will be discussing them as a class.
