Claude Monet ( pronounced Klodd Moe-Nay ) Claude Monet was born in Paris, France on November 14, He always wanted to paint & eventually attended art school. He would draw caricatures of his teachers on his schoolwork. A caricature is a drawing that represents the person, but certain features will be exaggerated, or made larger than they actually are.

Claude Monet; also known as Oscar- Claude Monet or Claude Oscar Monet was a founder of French impressionist painting. He was famous for his use of color and light, and his method of painting using short brush strokes ( dabs )

Impressionism ~ The word & the movement came from one of Monet’s painting titled: "Impression Sunrise" it depicted sunlight dancing and shimmering on water. The movement lasted from around 1870 to 1910 Monet felt that nature knows no black or white and nature knows no line. These beliefs resulted in this artist creating beautifully colorful and energetic pieces of work.
