OpportunitiesThreats Idea of IXP since 2000 and the ISPs agreed upon the need in late CIUEM offering hosting, maintenance and service for free during a starting phase. Lack of skilled network technicians. Difficulties to get ASN from ARIN. Difficulties to get IP addresses from ARIN. Equipment not arriving in time. ISP do not want to connect to IXP. Difficulties in getting leased lines ISP-2- IXP. Unpredictable environment of Mozambique…

StrengthsWeaknesses Different skills. Very motivated project team. Emerging feeling of team where everybody contribute and feel responsible. Great resource in the coaching team. Initiatives have been taken to get input and feed back from organizations with experiences. Lack of practical experience of working with interconnection technologies in the team.
