1. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: John 3: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. John 3:1-2 Master
Jesus came from heaven to impart God’s message to man. He was the teacher and that taught He was the messenger and the message
I. He knew the needs of His People Jn. 2:24-25 Jn. 2:24-25 “...he knew what was in man.” Mark 6:34 Mark 6:34 “...moved with compassion...” Rom. 5:8 Rom. 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us,...”
II. He was full of His Message Matt. 7:28-29 Matt. 7:28-29 “For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” Wanted Results Prepared Taught to change people’s lives 30 years for 3 years of service
III. He was Optimistic John 9:4 “I must work the work of him that sent me” John 9:4 Mark 1:38 “I must preach in other cities” Mark 1:38 John 16:33 “Be of good cheer” John 16:33 He did not forsake God because men left him !
IV. He was a Good Example Acts 1:1 “...of all that Jesus began both to do and teach” Acts 1:1 Taught his message by modeling it. Lived the way he asked us to live Man of prayer Humble = not puffed up
