NATURAL LANDSCAPES RELIEF These are the different landforms in a lansdcape, like mountains, plains and valleys.

NATURAL LANDSCAPES WATER There is water in rivers, lakes, seas and oceans.

NATURAL LANDSCAPES FAUNA AND VEGETATION These are the animals and plants that live on a landscape.

MAN – MADE LANDSACAPES Man - made landscapes have artificial features made by people. Humans change natural landscapes to satisfy their needs, like cutting down forests to grow food. They also build cities and roads. These are artificial features.

LANDSCAPES CHANGE NATURAL CHANGES Seasons, earthquakes, floods, etc. ARTIFICIAL CHANGES These are the changes that people make.

CONTINENTAL WATERS LAKES They are large areas of water surronded by land. Smaller bodies are called lagoons.

CONTINENTAL WATERS RIVERS They are currents of water that start in the mountains and run down the lowlands. They flow into a sea, a lake or into another river. When they flow into another river, they are called tributaries.

CONTINENTAL WATERS SUBTERRANEAN WATERS These are underground. When these waters come above the ground, they become fountains and springs.

MARINE WATERS BEACHES They are flat and have sand.

MARINE WATERS CLIFFS They are high and are made of rocks.

MARINE WATERS CAPES They are landforms that stick out into the sea.

MARINE WATERS GULFS They are parts of the sea that cut into the land. Small gulfs are called bays.

MARINE WATERS PENINSULAS They are extensions of land that are bigger than capes. They have the sea on all its sides except one.

MARINE WATERS ISLANDS They are extensions of land that have the sea all around it. Many islands next to each other are called an archipielago.
