Math Second year of the Math Series Curriculum based on State standards – Skills – Test taking strategies – Problem solving skills – Open-ended problems – Vocabulary recognition – Higher level thinking Math facts will be practiced daily

Science 3 Units: – Environments - Students will explore the environment through a hands-on program called Asset. – Astronomy – Health – Students will study the endocrine, urinary and nervous systems with a general body system review at the end of the year.

Science Science Notebooks utilized as a place to take notes, put examples, track experiments, etc. Tree Journals will be assigned approximately every 6-8 weeks.

Other Information Homework-Practice skills taught in class. – Planners are to be used daily. – Band/Strings/Purpose students are responsible for classwork missed. – Check website frequently for tests, projects, and important information. Classroom Management – Chances – Clips Student of the Week
