Deforestation

People are cutting down to many trees. People and animals are losing there homes. They are cutting down trees to make more land for homes. People are throwing there cigar and it starts forest fires. Remember trees give us oxygen the less trees we have the less oxygen we have to breath.

The rainforest was beautiful now it is being destroyed. It is more difficult for the animals and people in the rainforest to survive. The government is cutting down the trees for the farm land. The soil is so poor so they are cutting down more trees.

How does this problem effect Melissa or Texas? We are cutting trees to make houses, paper, schools and furniture.

facts The leaves in the rainforest are used for medicine. Most rainforest are near the equator. That causes the rainforest to be so hot. They cut down the trees to make pencils and paper.

What can the local community do to help this problem? We need to use what we have wisely and recycle.
