Bill Leedom Summer Internship Timber Trail Golf Course

Morning Jobs  Cutting Greens  Changing Cups  Raking Bunkers  Cutting tee boxes, collars, and approaches.

First Project  Built a new practice bunker for the new practice green.

After the drainage pipe was laid down we covered the pipe with gravel. We then laid a thick weed barrier down.

We started building our bunker bank.

Over seeded with perennial ryegrass About 1 week First time cut few weeks after seeding

Finished Bunker Still some bare spots but golfers can now use the practice bunker.

Second Project  Removing beach trees to get air flow though the golf course

All the beach trees cut down and placed in piles to be shredded by the wood chipper.

This is after all the trees have been cut down and put through the wood chipper

Third Project  We had to install a drainage ditch and drainage pipe in front of the 5 th green.

Cut a ditch in front of the 5 th green from one side of the rough to the other side

The edges of the ditch filled to the top with water.

Ran a drainage pipe across the drainage ditch The ditch was then filled with rocks and sand was placed on top so the sod could be put back flat and level.

The sod was put back on top and then seeded with perianal ryegrass and watered everyday.
