PSD-SEPTIC TANK CALC’S Liquid Capacity: Each Student : 20 Gallons (76 liter) Waste per day Assumed 50 students and office members x 20 Gals/day= 1000 gals (3785 liter) 1000x 1.5 = 1500 gals ( 5678 Liter / 5.7 cubic meter) Assume the inside septic tank liquid: 4’wide x 5’ depth 10’ long= 200 cubic foot 200x 7.48/gallon/cubic foot= 1500 gallon (5.7 cubic meter) OK Add 12” on top of liquid. Septic Tank inside dimensions : 4’x6’x10’ (1.22x1.83x3 M) Exterior dimensions: 5’x7’x11’ ( 1.52x2.13x3.35 M) 24” or 2’ ( 61 CM) Soil on top. The depth is 9’ (2.74 M)
