State and local program page Reporting tools 2014 Youth Advocacy (Local and State), Fostering Futures Training and Evidence-Based Enhancements Grantee Reporting Data Collection and Reporting

Questions so far?

Fostering Futures Survey To measure the volunteer’s understanding of advocacy and mentoring for older youth Taken before and after Fostering Futures training Takes minutes to complete Available online or by hard copy Youth Life Skills Assessment Measures changes in youth life skills over time Completed by youth and advocate Youth ages 14 and older Completed within two months of volunteer assignment to case and at one year or case closure – whichever comes first New paper version available online Assessment Tools

All grantees are required to use the tracking sheet provided by National CASA Auto-populated reports correspond directly to the semiannual grantee report Does the work for you No trying to figure out how to calculate what numbers to report Grantee Report Tracking Sheet

New Volunteers: A volunteer who is new to your program, in that they have not completed the recruitment, training, or swearing in process. Existing Volunteers: These are your veteran volunteers, who have already served kids in the past, or completed the recruitment, training or swearing in process outside of or before the grant. “New” vs. “Existing” Volunteers

Ineligible Youth If a child/youth is not eligible to be tracked under the grant, they should not be entered into the tracking sheet. They may be part of a sibling group that contains children/youth who meet the grant requirements, but if they themselves do not meet the requirements, they should not be tracked.

“Close Out Report” tab in updated tracking sheet Reports information on ALL volunteers and youth under the grant Make sure that every grant-related volunteer/youth is entered into the tracking sheet, from June 1, 2013 on Will need to copy information into new tracking sheet Close Out Report

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions or are unclear about any of the grant reporting requirements. We’re here to help! Leading up the next reporting cycle, please reach out sooner rather than later if you are having technical issues, or need additional guidance. This will help things go more smoothly for everyone. Stay in touch!
