Tenses Tenses are the time of the action or verb . There are mainly 3 types of tenses present , past and future.

PRESENT TENSES PRESENT SIMPLE A regular habit or a general fact. PRESENT CONTINUOUS Something that is happening now. A future plan. Restrictions: some verbs aren’t generally in the continuous (love, like, remember, thing…)

PAST TENSES PAST SIMPLE. A completed action in the past. PAST CONTINUOUS. An incomplete action interrupted by another action in the past. A continuous action in the past. PAST PERFECT (HAD + PARTICIPLE). An action that happened BEFORE another past action.

FUTURE TENSES WILL Predictions. Spontaneous decisions. GOING TO A planned future action. A future event based on present evidence. FUTURE CONTINUOUS (WILL BE + V-ING) An action in progress at a certain future time. FUTURE PERFECT (WILL HAVE + PARTICIPLE) A complete action at a certain future time.

PRESENT PERFECT / PAST SIMPLE PRESENT PERFECT (HAVE/HAS + PARTICIPLE) An action that happened in the past and it’s still relevant to the present. An action that started in the past and still continues up to the present. PAST SIMPLE A completed action in the past.
