Timeline Overview April 09May 09June 09July 09Aug 09 4/7-Notification & Brainstorming Session 4/21-Worksite Survey and Site Planning 4/27- Establishment of Worksites and Supervision/ Reporting Process 5/1- Application Process Began & Interviews /Assessments 5/18-1 st SYEP Orientation Held 5/19 -Snyder Park Crew I Begins (18 yrs & Older) 6/1- Youth begin working at sites throughout community 6/8- Snyder Park Crew II Begins 6/22-Hayward Project Begins Youth 30-day Evaluations Youth 30-day Evaluations (on going) 7/31-Hayward Project Ends 8/21- Park Crew of 16 & 17 yr olds complete 18 Yr & Older begin Pagoda Park Project

Summer Employment Program Overview Received over 400 applications 165 youth enrolled and began participating 25 sites at 20 Community Organizations and Businesses 140 employment opportunities for youth 40- Age 14 & 15 (Hayward Program) 30- Age 16 & Age 18 years and older

50 Youth Initially assigned to Project Many 18 & Older were moved to other projects 33 youth remain on Project Mostly 16 & 17 Year Olds 30 Hrs Per Wk (5 days per 6 hrs per day) 10 Weeks for 16 & 17 Yr Olds 20 Weeks 18 Yrs & Older Snyder Park Project

Snyder Park Project Activities Summary Repair of Maintenance/ Utility Building –Clearing & Cleaning out of Building –Painting of Interior & Exterior –60 Broken Windows Repaired (and covered for protection) Clearing and restoration of 4,000 lineal yards throughout Snyder Park Reversal of years of overgrowth in Focus Areas Repair & Restoration of Pagoda Building ( near future )
