What is a bloomer?

Who’s Amelia Bloomer? One of the first women to wear bloomers. Today almost all girls wear slacks or jeans, but back in 1851, Amelia was a radical. Now there is a book award named for her, the Amelia Bloomer Project List. The books on the Amelia Bloomer Project list encourage and inspire girls to be smart, brave, and proud.

These are Amelia Bloomer books we have at PHMS
