Identifies Dilemma Dilemma :Whether the store manager should follow the company policy or not. FOLLOW :If follow the policy and call the police to arrest the parents, the company may harm their reputation and even the spirit of the little girl. NOT FOLLOW :If not follow the policy and accept the couple’s request to pay for the sandwiches, the store manager may face the problem for breaking the company policy.

Considers Stakeholders 1.The store manager :facing the condition and need to make a decision. 2.The couple :break the company policy and are confronted with judgment. 3.The couple‘s 2-year-old daughter :doing nothing but have the chance to get separation from her parents for more than 18 hours.

Analyzes Alternatives and Consequences 1.Make an adjustment to the company policy. Pros: It can make company operate in a more flexible way. Cons: It may cause employees to confuse about what they should follow if the law changes all the time. 2.Managers can give employees more rights to make decision. Pros: Employees have more space to make reasonable decisions. Cons: Employees should be educated to have the ability making a decision, otherwise, the condition won’t get better but even worse.
