Chapter 2 What types of sites can the owner try to acquire: Single Lot Parcel Tract Acreage -- Just as it sounds no additional parcels. -- a defined piece of real estate, usually resulting from the division of a large area of land. It can range in size from a small lot to a gigantic ranch. -- An extended area of land. -- An area of land measured in acres. These are roughly defined by the size of the property (from smallest to largest)

Chapter 2 Property Surveys: –Selection process requires the use of two surveys: Line or investigative survey – review of records and not a lot of field work Topographical survey Feasibility study –Most important to the project if owner is going to purchase land Study of feasibilty on each parcel of land –Most important to the project of owner owns the land outright
