What?  We would like to help the Taneytown Community stay fit by setting way points in Taneytown using Google earth and Google maps.  We have described the activities that you can do at the points in this presentation.  Lets get started……

Staying fit with bowling LOCATION: THUNDER HEAD BOWLING ALLEY. By: Kane & Mason

How many calories you can burn bowling?  You can figure out how many calories you can burn while bowling at THUNDER HEAD BOWLING ALLEY, by using fitday.com.  Here’s an example. How many calories do you burn during Bowling based on: –Weight: 90 –Height: 59 –Age: 18 Calories Burned: 105 calories per hour

 It is fun and easy.  It doesn’t cost a whole lot.  The president does it. Besides all of his interviews. He goes bowling on his free time. Reasons to go Bowling

 Here’s an example. How many calories do you burn during biking based on: –Weight: 90 lbs –Height: 59 inches –Age: 18 Calories Burned: 186 calories per hour How many calories you can burn biking in Taneytown?

 Activity calories burned  Bicycling – leisure 180  Bicycling / biking – mountain 384  Bicycling / cycling mph 396  Bicycling / cycling mph 480  Total Calories Burned 1,440 Calories Burned in 1 hour  We also considered several styles of riding and we hope you enjoy the style that you enjoy the most.

 All that being said, and with all things being considered equal, a 160 lb person riding for 60 minutes at a speed of mph would burn somewhere around 634 calories. Ride a little faster and you'll end up burning around 750 calories. Calories burned

Staying fit at Roberts Mill Park Brooke, Savannah

Roberts Mill Park  Roberts Mill Park is one of the most beautiful serene parks in Taneytown. The Park sits on 19.3 acres of open lush green land. This Park also contains a pond that is fed by natural springs in the park. The pond is home to a variety of different animals and wildlife. Robert’s Mill Park contains something for everyone. Soccer/Lacrosse fields with lighting, full basketball court, fenced in playground (security for pond), sand volleyball court, three picnic pavilions, restrooms and parking. There is now a lighted walking trail around the pond. Roberts Mill Park 4501 Stumptown Road, Taneytown, Maryland

Soccer…  It depends on your weight and how hard you work during the game,. For example, if you are approximately 165lbs (75kg), for one hour you would burn about:  525 calories - casual soccer  750 calories - competitive soccer. Soccer is fun and it is a grate way to stay active.

Basketball  Hopefully this will help your cause. You burn about 500 calories for every hour of full court 5 on 5 basketball you play. Basketball is a good way to burn calories and have fun (see carvers for more information)

Lacrosse  Lacrosse is a fast moving sport.  There are 10 people from a team on the field at a time (20 people on the field total). There are 3 attackmen, 3 middies, 3 defensemen and 1 goalie. 526 a calories hour
