² Ecotourism is a responsible travel in natural environments where resources and people well-being are preserved. It also minimizes the negative impacts on nature and traditional culture.

The Landes of Gascogne is a consolidation of the regional natural park and the country of the Landes of Gascogne. It has adopted ecotourism as a development model. It has the desire to take voluntary action centered on the discovery of nature while adopting a responsible attitude to the environment, natural resources by tourists and the population. Bivouac in trees, Balizac Cap’Cabane, Captieux

The diversity and the scarcity of the Leyre environment makes the territory of the Landes of Gascogne an area of international importance for the conservation of wild birds. Many birds live during their overwintering as a stopover, or breeding. cranes in Arjuzanx, Landes.

The banks of the Leyre. It’s a curvy and wild river. Only a boarding by canoe or kayak allows the discovery of its course for a few hours.

Discover mountain bike trails, in the heart of the forest, on a sandy soil in the middle of pine trees, ferns and heather. The Landes of Gascogne are not always as flat as it seems! If you love nature you should come and discover the stunning views of our region.
