M ISSION S TATEMENT The mission of the City of Phoenix Retirees Association (COPRA) is to represent the interests of retired general employees of the City of Phoenix in matters related to benefits, pension, health insurance and other issues of mutual concern.

G OAL COPRA’s goal is to seek the improvement and protection of City of Phoenix Retiree's pensions and other retirement benefits.

P RIOR COPRA I NITIATIVES  Pension Equalization Program (PEP) - Increases your pension annually after the first three years of retirement if funds are available  The “Thirteenth Check” - Guarantees a “thirteenth check” of at least 1% of your gross annual pension if funds are available  Minimum Pension Increases - Increases for long-term retirees - those who retired prior to 1989 received pension increases in February 2000
