BLUE HELMETS IN 1956, LESTER B. PEARSON PROPOSED SENDING UN TROOPS TO ACT AS A PEACEKEEPING FORCE IN EGYPT DURING THE SUEZ CRISIS. UN PEACEKEEPERS COME FROM MULTIPLE COUNTRIES. FOR PEACEKEEPERS TO INTERVENE THEY MUST: NOT USE FORCE, MUST REMAIN NEUTRAL AND MUST BE IMPARTIAL.
