National Contracts Update National Contracts Steering Group

In the beginning...

National Contracts Steering Group is made up of volunteers

All contracts negotiated between Purchasers and Providers

Supported by a range of organisations

Freely offered for anyone to use

But we don’t force anyone to use it!

The National Contracts Family Schools (2003, 2007, 2011, 2013) Residential Homes (2007, 2011) Independent Fostering Agencies (2008, 2011) Independent Specialist Colleges (2013)

Home of the National Contracts

Includes some very handy “Frequently Asked Questions Guidance”.

Saves on paperwork

Frequently used as component of Frameworks

Since 2011 versions, amendments can be made to the Terms and Conditions via Schedule 6

For Review of all 3 Contracts being undertaken by South East Together consortia of Local Authorities as part of DfE Innovations Project to expand Dynamic Placements System National Contracts Steering Group aiming to adopt revised Contracts as new National Contracts for 2016.

Key Principles for Revisions ConsultationCollaboration

What’s likely to change? More focus on detailed service specifications Likely to be pricing specification within each contract Update with respect to legislative changes Hoping to allow for more outcome-focused commissioning and procurement

We need you!
