Get out your planners and write these important items down. Tonight’s Homework! 1. I am giving you a grade printout. You need to get it signed and returned. 2. Grammar pages 1 and 2 – Noun Review 3. Complete missing assignments. Friday is the last day to receive credit for any of these items. Assessments for this week: 1. Week 5 Vocabulary Quiz 2. Narrative short story revisions and final draft is due on Friday. Future Item: o October 15, Ninth grade Ready Step Assessment.

Essential Question: What makes a good presentation? Claim 3, Target 3 – Plan/speak/present: Memorized passages will be presented today. CCSL Plan, memorize, and present a recitation (e.g., poem, selection from a speech or dramatic soliloquy) that: conveys the meaning of the selection and includes appropriate performance techniques (e.g., tone, rate, voice modulation) to achieve the desired aesthetic effect. Content objective – SWBAT successfully show memorization of short story passage. Language objective – SWBAT stand before peers and clearly articulate the words he or she memorized from his or her chosen short story.

 Now that the presentations are completed, let’s review grammar worksheet pages 17-18, linking verbs.  Continue working with your partner to create an amazing narrative essay.
