Astronomy Place Registration

Getting Started You will need the following to register: Student Access Code (in the Student Access Kit that came with your new textbook or you can purchase access online if you have a used book) Connection to the Internet (you will need to go to Class ID number obtained from your instructor (example: cm192683) If your instructor does not give you a Class ID number, you can still register and use the website.

Go to and click on the cover of the textbook you’re using. On the following screen, click “Register”. You can also purchase online access here by clicking on “Buy Now”.

Type in your access code and your school’s Zip Code. Choose your School Country from the pull-down menu and click the “Next” button. Type in your name and e- mail address, choose your school from the pull-down menu, and choose a Login Name and Password. Then choose a security question and enter the answer. Click “Next”.

You will then be given a Confirmation and Summary of your registration. You are now ready to explore The Astronomy Place. For Technical Support, click on the Tech Support button at the top of the screen and fill out the online product support request form.
