yasmin Yasmin tablets are a type of hormonal contraception commonly known as 'the pill' or combined oral contraceptive pill. Yasmin tablets contain two active ingredients, ethinylestradiol and drospirenone. These are synthetic versions of the naturally occurring female sex hormones, oestrogen and progesterone..

Risk of VTE with yasmin(drospirenone) Studies have shown the risk is twice as compared to oral contraceptives containing levonergesterol. A case-control study by pharmetrics a united state based company
