Computer A computer is an electronic machine that takes information, processes it,and stores it. Computers are made up of hardware ( monitor, tower, keyboard, mouse, printer) and software (programs that tell the computer what to do)

MONITOR Displays video and pictures just like your TV

CPU or Tower The Central Processing Unit or TOWER is the Brains of the computer. It is the most important part of the computer

Keyboard A set of typewriter keys to enter information into the computer

MOUSE Controls the cursor (arrow or hand) on the monitor screen Select information by “Clicking”

Printer Prints a paper copy of what is seen on the monitor

Speakers Plays sounds from the computer

INPUT Input Devices allow us to send information to the CPU (TOWER) to tell the Computer what to do. Some TYPES of Input: 1. Keyboard 2. Mouse 3. Disk

OUTPUT Output devices receive information from the CPU (TOWER), then make it into sounds or pictures that we can understand. Types of OUTPUT: Speaker Monitor Printer
