History Local Food Policy Advisory Subcommittee Local Food Summit, 2005 “Recipe for Success” report Dane County Board adopts Resolution 90, creating the Food Council (October 2005) 12-member Food Council began meeting in January 2006

Funding and Support 1 st year: Dane County, City of Madison, University of Wisconsin –Madison ($15,000) Hired a part-time staff person Support from UW Extension Dane County, Dane County Planning and Development Dept. 12 volunteer Food Council members Community volunteers and organizations 2007: $5000 funding from Dane County
