September Seven All students will be able to: 1. Log on using their account name and password 2. Locate and evaluate web sites appropriate for a given task (search engines, bookmarks, teacher provided links) 3. Use productivity applications to create, edit, save, and print documents 4. Copy and paste text and graphics within and between sources 5. Use tables to organize ideas and resources 6. Use spelling and grammar tools and help buttons as needed 7. Understand and apply copyright and digital ethics principles
Research expectations Seventh Grade students will: Choose a topic Develop a thesis statement Locate appropriate online and print materials Create a basic bibliography Take notes Organize ideas Eighth Grade students will also: Use in-text citations Create an annotated bibliography Create a title page Add footnotes/endnotes as applicable
Use 5 for 5 5 paragraphs 5 sentences 5 descriptive words/phrases (adjectives, adverbs; use thesaurus) 5 prepositions 5 types of punctuation +1 = At least one conjunction used properly

Today’s Goals Review MP chart for your grade and content area In your group, come to consensus on a required technology activity for each marking period Does NOT need to be an entire lesson Remember to look for “learning” tools, not “teaching” tools to engage students and provide them with access to the technology Must reach a LoTi Level 3
