Classroom Expectations At St. James School we follow Christ by being caring, helpful, respectful, self- disciplined and trustworthy.  Whole Group Reinforcements  Clip-Chart System

Grading Scale A+ 95%, A 93%, A- 90% B+ 88%, B 85%, B- 82 C+ 80, C 77%, C- 74% D+ 72%, D 69%, D- 66% U = 65% and below Your child’s grades will be posted on PowerSchool on a regular basis and a report card will be sent home at the end of each trimester.

Homework Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. All assignments will be copied daily in your child’s assignment notebook. You can expect your child to have about 30 minutes of homework plus an additional 20 minutes of reading time.  Read  Assigned Work  Words Their Way Practice  Rocket Math Practice *All incomplete classwork will be assigned as homework and may require additional time.

Late Assignment Policy 1 st Missing Assignment: Student gets a “Free Pass” and homework is due the next day in class. After 1 st Missing Assignment: Student receives a Missing Assignment Notification that is sent home to be signed and the student uses their recess time to complete their missing work. The notification must be stapled to the missing assignment and returned to school the next day. Failure to bring in the signed notification and completed homework will result in loss of recess until all paperwork is turned in.
