Mark Greaves - Vulcan Dr. Mark Greaves is currently Program Manager for Knowledge Systems at Vulcan Inc., the private asset management company for Paul Allen. He is sponsoring advanced R&D in large knowledge bases and semantic web technologies, including Project Halo ( Formerly, Mark served as Director of DARPA's Joint Logistics Technology Office, and as Program Manager in DARPA's IXO. He managed a variety of DARPA projects in semantics and distributed computing technology, including the DAML project that funded the development of the OWL, OWL/S, and SWRL languages. Prior to coming to DARPA, Mark worked on natural language semantics and software agent technology at the Mathematics and Computing Technology group of Boeing Phantom Works.

Todd Huges - Darpa Dr. Todd Hughes became a Program Manager for DARPA/IXO in July His research interests include geospatial intelligence, cognitive systems, and data integration. Earlier, Dr. Hughes held a position as Technical Manager at Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories, where he oversaw research and development projects in cognitive systems and semantic technology. Notable research endeavors include the Ontology Translation Protocol, a project aimed at developing technology to assist in the rapid integration of heterogeneous information resources. Dr. Hughes earned his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in While completing his doctorate, he worked as a member of the technical staff at Cycorp, Inc.

Jim Milligan - AFRL Mr. Jim Milligan is a computer scientist at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Rome Research Site. He currently directs and conducts research and development activities within AFRL’s Information Directorate supporting the Systems and Information Interoperability branch (AFRL/IFSE). For over two decades, Mr. Milligan has been working in the areas of software and systems engineering, process management, and information technology. Most recently, his work has focused in the areas of net-centric information management, semantic mediation, and information transformation services in support of the Air Force.

Frank Olken - NSF Since September 2006 Frank Olken has been detailed to NSF as a Program Director in the Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Directorate, Intelligent Information Systems (IIS) Division, Informatics and Information Integration (III) Cluster. He evaluates proposals in science and engineering informatics and information integration, and various topics in data management, knowledge management, etc. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and has long worked in the Scientific Data Management Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, CA. in scientific, statistical, and engineering data and metadata management. He has taught data management at UC Berkeley. He has worked on RDF and XML Schema Language Standards and the ISO Metadata Registry Standard.
