Oral Communications for Business Teamwork

Give me your best definition of teamwork…

Web definition of teamwork… Collaboration among students to produce a product for the quality of which team members have joint responsibility. Team members are assessed on the quality of the product, the quality of their contributions to the team effort as well as the quality of the completion of their individually assigned tasks.

Continued… Working as part of a group in which there is a shared goal and to achieve this different members of the team take on different role. Cooperative work done by a team.

Are you a team player??? What are the negative aspects working with others? What are the positive aspects working with others? How well to you work with others? How well to you work with others? How well to you work with others? How well to you work with others?

Tips for working as a team. T: Teach. Identify your strengths and share them with you team. E: Empathize. See someone else’s point of view. A: Ask. Ask questions to gather information. M: Motivate, motivate, motivate!!! There is no I in T.E.A.M!!

Cup Stack Teamwork Game Supplies: 10 paper cups 1 rubber band 6 pieces of string Goal: Using the rubber band, stack the cups in a pyramid starting with 4 cups on the bottom, then three, then two, then 1 on top.

Rules You cannot touch the cups with your hands, even if it falls on the floor. Don’t stop until you are finished!! Have fun!!
