Diagnostic Assessments - Administration Kindergarten No Required Administration No Reporting Requirement Grades 1 and 2 All students required; District AYP status will determine use - state diagnostic or district choice No Reporting Requirement

Diagnostic Assessments - Administration continued Grades 3-8 Buildings in School Improvement must administer diagnostic tests –Only Grade 3 Writing Diagnostic Assessment currently developed –No Reporting Requirement Transfer Students Within 30 days of student transfer into district or school –Begins end of October count week –No reporting requirements

Kindergarten Readiness Assessment Amended Substitute House Bill 3 Office of Early Childhood - Lead Kindergarten Readiness Assessment –end of pre-K standards –Currently only Literacy assessed –Kindergarten readiness assessment field test in fall 2003 –Reporting Requirement begins SY04-05

Performance Levels Achievement Tests House Bill 3 requires five performance levels: advanced accelerated proficient basic Limited Proficiency Tests - Unchanged
