Let’s play soccer!  Object – Get the ball in the goal!  How? Students use dialogue to pass the ball up the field.  The first team to put the ball in the goal, wins!

Rules 1. Only the person with the ball can speak! 2. Once one player says a line, pass the ball to the other team and the ball moves up the field. 3. You only get ONE (1) chance to say the line correctly. 4. If it is correct, pass the ball to your teammate and sit down. 5. If it is incorrect, pass the ball to the other team and go back to the end of the line. 6. You must use a different line than your group members.

Helpful hints  Look in your book and memorize a line.  Repeat it in your head while you are waiting.  Five (5) points for First (1 st ) place.  Three (3) points for second (2 nd ) place.  If you are talking, your team will get a penalty (minus points) and the other team will get more points.
