The American Flag Facts On the first flag there was only 13 stars. Flag day is on June 14 th. There are now 50 stars on the flag for each of the 50 states. When you fold the flag you fold it into a triangle also you have to see the stars. Blue stands for justice and freedom, red stands for representing blood, and white stands for representing purity.
