Enjoy playing with your baby and meeting new mums. ********************************** Nepalese Mothers Group 1:30 to 3:00 pm This is a drop in session for mothers from the Nepalese Community at the RMA Family Play Together at the RMA 10:00 to 11:30 am for families living on the RMA Enjoy joining in the fun activities with your children at our family fun play sessions. Make new friends and access information and advice. Under One’s is back on a Tuesday – Starting 30/04/ :30 to 12:00 at the Alders Children Centre. This group is run by your health visitors for new parents and their babies. This is a drop in session. ********************************** Solitaire 1:30 to 3:00 at the Alders Children’s Centre This is a friendly supportive group for lone parents with 0 to 5 year old to come and play with your children, make new friends and access information and advice. Pop ins - Come and join your Family Outreach Support Worker 10:00 to 11:30 am. This is an invitation only group for families who have had, or are having or would like to have support from a Family Outreach Support Worker. An opportunity to make new friends, play activities, informal support and advice. For more information please contact Paula White on Little Explorers 10:00 to 11:30 at the Baptist Church in Sandhurst Come and join this group for crawlers to walkers. This is an ideal group to attend once your baby has grown out of the baby group. Enjoy exploring messy play with your child and learning the next steps of your child’s development. Make new friends and access information and advice. *********************************** Health Visitors Baby Weigh and Advice Clinic 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Alders Children Centre. This is a drop in session run by the Health Visitors. You can get your Baby weighed, ask your Health Visitors for advice and baby self weighing is also available. Please park your buggies in the buggy park. *********************************** Breast Feeding Support 1:00 to 3:00 pm Is available today at the Alders Children Centre. This is a drop in session run by the breast feeding network Breast feeding support is available across Bracknell Forest at various centres each day of the week. Thursday Friday Saturday Speech and Language Drop in On the 3rd Thursday of every month 9:00 to 11:30 at the Alders Children Centre. If you have any concerns about your child’s speech and language development, please drop into the centre where they can be assessed by a speech and language therapist. Places ore on a first come first served basis. ************************************* Children Centre Drop In 09:30 to 11:00 am at Owlsmoor Community Centre. Come in, meet the Children Centre Team. Penny & Sue will be available to give information and advice. We will also have local community visitors attending sessions to give advice on a range of Services. Tea and coffee will be available. Babes and Explorers 10:00 to 11:30 am at St John the Baptist Church, Crowthorne. This is a drop in play session for parents / carers and their children 0 to 2 years old. Also on the 2nd and 4 th Friday of every month the Health Visitors will run their baby clinic. ******************************** Antenatal Drop in clinic 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Alders Children’s Centre run by our community midwives. This is a drop in clinic to discuss any antenatal issues you may have with your community midwife. ******************************** Breastfeeding Café 1:30 to 2:30 pm along side Antenatal Drop in. Come along have a cuppa and an informal chat. Get support & advice from BFN & other mums. Dads and Kids 9:30 to 11:00 every 3rd Saturday of the Month (Excluding bank holiday weekends) This fun session is for dads, step dads, uncles, granddads with their children 0 to 5 year olds (older brothers and sisters are also welcome) ********************************* Antenatal Classes Please call your local community midwife to book onto these informative classes at the Alders Children Centre 10:00 to 4:00. Bracknell Forest Children’s Centres The Alders and Chestnuts Children’s Centre Childminding Play Together We would like to offer all childminders from Sandhurst and Crowthorne area the use of our family room at the Alders Children Centre, giving you the chance to meet up with other childminders in your local area. Childminders can ring on a Monday morning to check if there is a room free anytime that week. We cannot guarantee the room will be free to use every week as our sessions will take priority. Bookings will be take on a ‘first come first served’ basis and priority will be given to childminders from the Sandhurst / Little Sandhurst & Crowthorne area. Due to the size of the room numbers will be limited. If you are supplying your own materials the room will be free of charge. If you would like to use our materials there will be a charge of £1 per child. All children attending the centre must be registered. Dump your Dummy Word of the Week The Alders Children’s Centre is a Dummy Free Zone. To help encourage your toddler to talk, staff at the Alders & Chestnuts will be asking you not to use a dummy whist in the centre. (unless your baby is tired or upset) Dummies can be left with the dummy bear and collected before you leave the centre. For further information or support on dumping your dummy please see any member of the Alders & Chestnuts Team. The Dummy Bear What is 'word of the week'? Did you know that the more words your child can use the better they will do in school! Children under 5 can learn several new words every day, but only if they hear them. ‘Word of the week’ is our way of helping your children learn new words
